Chris Anderson and the Longhorn Evangelism Team

This is a great show on what's coming in Longhorn technology, namely Indigo, Avalon, and XAML, and compatibility. We get to the heart of what the term "Managed OS" really means. Jeff Sandquist tries to decide whether or not to shave his mustache. He's had it since he was 16.

Chris Anderson

Chris Anderson joined Microsoft in 1997 as a developer in Visual Basic. Today he is an architect on the Windows Client Platform team working on the technologies code named "Avalon". He is responsible for the design, developer experience, and architecture of the presentation components in Windows.

Steve Cellini

Steve Cellini is a Senior Director in the Longhorn Client Evangelism team in the .NET Platform Strategy & Partner Group, responsible for Longhorn Client evangelism and industry adoption. He has held several positions over his 6 year career at Microsoft, including Group Program Manager and Group Manager in various Microsoft products and services teams. This is the only known photo of Steve in existence.

Carter Maslan

Carter Maslan is Director of Evangelism for Microsoft's Developer and Platform Evangelism Group. Based out of Microsoft's Silicon Valley Campus in Mountain View, he is responsible for developing strategic partnerships around Microsoft's development platform with a focus on Whidbey and Longhorn-wave technologies.

Having developed and operated large-scale Internet services at Inktomi, Carter joined Microsoft's Platform Strategy and Partner Group in 2001 to drive the next wave of programmable services for the Internet. Prior to Microsoft, Carter was Director of Product Management and Marketing at Inktomi, which he joined via its acquisition of startup Impulse Buy Network.

Carter received his B.S.E. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Princeton University, where he also met his wife. They live in the bay area with their two children.

Jeff Sandquist

Jeff Sandquist is a Group Manager on the Platform Evangelism Team. Jeff has been at Microsoft for seven years partnering with developers worldwide helping them succeed on Microsoft products such as Windows, IE, .NET, Visual Studio .NET and the upcoming Windows "Longhorn."

Tim Sneath leads product management for Flutter and Dart, working from Google’s office in Seattle.
