OpenSilver with Giovanni Albani
Got Silverlight apps? Carl and Richard talk to Giovanni Albani about the OpenSilver project - building an open-source version of Silverlight that runs without a plugin, using WebAssembly. Giovanni talks about companies he has communicate with that have Silverlight apps with hundreds of thousands of lines of code - not a simple thing to rewrite. The goal of OpenSilver is to let you migrate those applications.

Giovanni Albani
Giovanni Albani is a software engineer and entrepreneur based in Paris, France. He is the founder and CEO of Userware, an ISV specialized in Microsoft technologies. Giovanni’s passion for building developer tools started as a teenager, when he created Adventure Maker, a game engine used by more than 300,000 developers. Giovanni founded Userware after leaving Microsoft in 2007, and has continued to release top-selling .NET apps and tools, including XLS-Editor, #1-ranked productivity app in the Windows Store for over a year. Giovanni's current focus is on OpenSilver, an open-source replacement for Silverlight. Giovanni holds a dual Master's Degree in Computer Science from Georgia Tech and Supelec.
