Windows Containers with Steve Lasker
How are containers coming along in the Windows world? Carl and Richard talk to Steve Lasker about his work making containers easy to use from within Visual Studio. Most work on containers has been around Linux, but when Windows Server 2016 shipped, Windows containers became real. Should you be using containers in your all-Windows world? Steve talks about the advantages and challenges, it's not all simple, but it is very powerful and worth a look!

Steve Lasker has been a Program Manager at Microsoft since 2003 working on developer tools, embedded databases, billing systems for Azure online services and most recently focusing on Docker container workflows. Steve works on the Visual Studio container tooling, the Azure Container Registry and end to end workflows for deploying containers to Azure. Prior to joining Microsoft, Steve worked in consulting and broadcast engineering where he learned the life of living on the road and building systems that can be easily troubleshot and repaired as fans don't want to wait for more than a commercial to get back to super bowl.
