Mitra Azizirad
Mitra Azizirad is Corporate VP of Cloud Application Development, Data and AI Marketing, leading product marketing for developer and data platform offerings spanning Visual Studio, Xamarin, .NET, SQL Server, Azure Data Services and for Artificial Intelligence related products and services such as Cognitive Services, Azure Bot Service amongst many others. Mitra is also responsible for Microsoft’s AI commercial and developer strategy to democratize AI and make it accessible to every developer. Mitra’s team is responsible for the Connect(); event. A 25-year veteran of Microsoft, Mitra has held key positions across a wide array of technical, marketing and sales functions, both in the field and corporate. Mitra began her career at Microsoft in 1992 as a network systems engineer providing technical and security expertise for Department of Defense and Intelligence Agencies. Mitra was the first female Regional Technology Director (now the CTO role), the highest level technical role in the field and was the first Systems Engineer to become the General Manager of a field subsidiary. Prior to her current role, Mitra led the Developer Evangelism worldwide field strategy and operations.
