Bruce Tate
Bruce Tate is the author of four books, including the smash hit Bitter Java, and Bitter EJB. He's an independent consultant with clients such as FedEx, TheServerSide, IBM and BEA. He is the founder and president of J2Life, a company specializing in design reviews. He's reviewed designs for hundreds of customers, with specialties in persistence and tailoring the development process. In the past, he's held development and leadership positions at IBM, and has worked for several startups, including posts as CTO and director of solutions development.

Ted Neward is an industry professional with twenty plus years' experience. He speaks at conferences all over the world and writes regularly for a variety of publications across the Java, .NET, and other ecosystems. He currently resides in the Pacific Northwest with his wife, two sons, three cats, twelve laptops, seven tablets, nine phones, and a rather large utility bill.
